That stands for “Personal Attention by Owners” and generally speaking, that’s exactly what you’ll get.
We’ll personally take care of your reservation, greet you on arrival, take care of your every need during your stay, help you with excursions, local tips and recommendations, and be there to thank you and wave good bye when it’s time for you to head back home.
Of course, we occasionally take vacations ourselves, but chances are we will have an opportunity to meet you and help make your vacation experience as memorable as possible.
Round Trip Ground Transportation
Our rate includes transportation from Cancun International Airport to Taninah on the day of your arrival and from Taninah back to Cancun International Airport on the day of your departure.
Included transportation service is limited to two 10-passenger vans and can transport parties that arrive on the same flight or, if need be, one van can transport an earlier arriving party and another van can transport a party arriving later in the day.
Groups consisting of more than 20 guests or parties that arrive on more than two flights scheduled for different arrival times throughout the day, may require additional transportation service at an additional cost.
Transportation is provided by STP Caribe, one of the Riviera Maya’s most reputable ground transportation companies. STP Caribe will meet you upon arrival and provide safe, comfortable transportation in late model, air-conditioned vehicles driven by friendly, licensed, professional drivers.
The trip to Taninah will take approximately an hour and a half depending on traffic and weather.
STP’s transportation service includes insurance for all passengers.
Gratuities are not included.
No refund or credit will be given or applied to parties who forego any part of the transportation service.
Meals
Meals are included in our rate. Leopoldo, our “Mayan Chef,” will gladly prepare for your party up to three unique and delicious family style meals per day.
We have established a 7-day meal plan based on Leopoldo’s most popular dishes. These phenomenal dishes have consistently been ranked as favorites by our guests and we’re certain you will agree.
Our daily menus offer exciting Mexican foods, fresh seafood, as well as genuine regional (Yucatecan) cuisine. Your meals at Taninah will be prepared with the finest and freshest ingredients available and will undoubtedly satisfy your palate as well as your appetite.
Additionally, Moms don’t need to worry about children under 12, as our rate includes kid friendly entrees in lieu of our established adult menus.
Our Starter Beverage Package
Our starter beverage package is included for reservations of seven nights or more. This package is comprised of the first cooler full of purified ice; four cases each of purified water, soft drinks, and beer; as well as coffee and delicious Mexican hot chocolate.
On Site Staff
Our friendly Mayan staff of 10 is available 24/7 during guest stays. Their first responsibility it to assist our guests in any way they can; however, they are also responsible for making beds, washing dishes, general clean up, and maintaining the pool, Jacuzzi, grounds, and gardens in optimal shape.
Daily "Maid" Service
They’re not attractive, but they do know how to clean a room and make a bed. Our staff will conform to your schedule, cleaning each guest house daily at your convenience.
Free Bicycle Use
Eight beach cruisers (4 men's and 4 women's) are available for our guests’ use on our jungle roads or for the short ride to the beach (2.5 miles)
Available Televisions/DVD Players
Taninah is equipped with three television sets each connected to a DVD player. These are located in the children’s padded play room, the library, and the fitness room. Although we have an extensive list of DVD titles available at a nominal fee, guests are welcome to bring their own DVD titles as well.
External Speaker System for iPod, MP3 Players, etc.
For your convenience, we have installed an external speaker system for those who would like to bring and connect their iPods, MP3 players, CD players or laptops. This system makes it easy for guests to listen to their music collection from any of the above named sources in full, rich sound. The system is installed in the outdoor kitchen area where Taninah guests tend to spend most of their time.
Available Beds
Our bed count currently stands at 8 king beds, 3 queen beds, 1 double bed, 7 double futons (sofa beds), 2 individual beds, 4 inflatable double beds, and 2 cribs. In some cases, we are able to re-arrange beds in different locations to better accommodate our guests. Please contact us if you have concerns about how we might accommodate your group.
Baby Equipment
For the convenience of guests traveling with babies or toddlers, we have two cribs, one high chair, one stroller, one exersaucer and various other baby items and toys.
Library
Taninah has a growing paperback book lending library. Please note that paperback donations are encouraged and appreciated. If you have some extra room in your luggage, please consider bringing some paper back book donations. This is a great way to recycle your old paper backs.
In-Room Safes
We have furnished each guest house with a room safe for storing valuables.
First Aid Kits
In addition to our primary first aid kit located in the pool area, each of our guest houses is also equipped with first aid kits.
Emergency Telephone
In case of an emergency, there is generally a working cellular phone at Taninah; however, we highly recommend guests bring their own cellular phones and pre-arrange with their carriers/service providers in order to activate service while in Mexico.
Artisans
On occasion, we invite local artisans to show their truly unique items at Taninah. They primarily offer reasonably priced, hand made jewelry and one-of-a-kind items you won’t see or find in most tourist shops.
Exhibitors are no-pressure artisans and guests are under no obligation to make a purchase. The artisans are simply glad to have a venue to show their work and an opportunity to make a sale.
Many of our guests have enjoyed the experience, enjoyed meeting and speaking with the artisans, and most importantly enjoyed shopping without having to leave Taninah!!!
