We all had our trepidations before arriving … 7 days with 5 families? Ages 20 months through 72? The jungle? It didn’t take long, however, before we realized we’d stumbled upon a gem like no other and our expectations were superceded at every turn.

What an incredible experience. Our family loved it all!!! Make sure you do EVERYTHING … waterslide in the cenote, workout in the gym, float in the pool, play football, play ping pong, pool, air hockey, relax in the hammocks, PLAY VOLLEYBALL – YOU WILL LOSE [against the Mayan staff] BUT IT’S SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!, dance by the pool at night, play all of the board games, ride the bikes to the highway. And that’s just at Taninah!! We also loved the FAT CAT, scuba diving, ATVs, Hidden World, fishing and shopping in Playa. BUT MOST OF ALL WE LOVED OUR MAYAN AMIGOS .. THEY MADE THE TRIP THE BEST. Thank you Boys.

50th Wedding Anniversary
Thanks Taninah! Our 50th anniversary celebration at Taninah with our family surpassed our expectations. It was an ideal setting for a group from 11 to 73! Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff, they even let our team get 7 points in one of the volleyball games. We will always remember the great experience

What a wonderful week we all had here at Paradise in the Jungle – Taninah! Six months of anticipation – and when we got here all expectations were met – and more. Our 4 little ones (1-1/2 – almost 5) were not bored for a minute. Neither were their parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles! Like everyone else, we appreciate all the good food from the staff. They anticipated our every need. Marino & Kathy – you really know how to set up, furnish, maintain & build a first class vacation location. The cenote – WOW! How cool is that place! The padded room – many enjoyable hours were spent in there by the little ones. The game room – can you say ping pong tournaments? Poker games? The ZIP line – Grandma Vicki liked it only slightly less than all the kids. Thank you all so much for our memorable week together.

Thank you so much for an amazing week. We all loved everything Taninah had to offer. Even after 2 years of eating Leopoldo’s food, we all LOVED all of the food. Thank you staff for all of your hard work. My favorite part of Taninah this year was the zip line. Over all I had an amazing time at my favorite place in the world Taninah this year and really hope to come back some time really soon.

To all who built, manage, and operate our “favorite” jungle getaway!!! Where do I begin? My husband, Greg, and I decided to give all our children and grand children a trip anywhere they wanted as a 2006 Christmas present. After much research, we chose Taninah! Have to say the road “in” our first night…we were wondering if we made the right choice. But it only took seconds after parking and being warmly greeted to know we were in “heaven” for a week!
Everything we could possibly ask for, want or need…supplied promptly without hesitation! Cenote – amazing – all the children were busy and happy and safe while we relaxed, walked, played, laughed, and swam – not to mention the food…one meal topped the next and each one served with excellence and so professionally! The grounds are kept perfectly and the rooms so inviting and peaceful.
We’ve grown to love all the workers and will be back!!! May God bless you all – you’ve surely blessed us and we thank you!

What a wonderful experience! The grounds are beautiful and the staff catered to our every need. Karl was so helpful – setting up all of our special excursions. But just being together was the best part. Our family extends from South Carolina to California and we were here!
The ages ranged from 8 to 70+ and everyone had a great time. It was fun being “jungle people” for a week! Truly a magical place, our own Bali Hai! I hope everyone who reads this is having an enchanted experience as we all did!

Taninah exceeded our expectations in so many ways, we’ll list just a few:
- Staff – professional, attentive, kind, unobtrusive. We were impressed by each and every one of them.
- Food – having fresh fruit and local cuisine served in a beautiful setting was a huge bonus.
- Quality – this vacation was one of the few we recall where reality outstripped expectations.
- Comfort – Great beds, cool nights, lots of fans added up to a giant sleep fest. More of a luxury resort than a jungle retreat.
- Activities – we had four active kids who felt they had found paradise…
- Value – I’ve never finished a vacation without feeling that I had been deprived of my money at every turn. This place is a tremendous value…
…you have created a wonderful place, especially for families. We will be back. Our biggest fear is that getting a week will become a real challenge!

Were do we start? From the moment we arrived (although the ten minutes prior up the dark, windy, bumpy road were a little tense), everything has been fabulous! From Kathy and Marino’s warm welcome, Karl’s helpfulness, Leopold’s wonderful cuisine, Victor’s immaculate grounds, and Susano’s personal touch…to the wonderful amenities, our time here was a dream come true! As a group of 38 (22 of whom were kids), we did not expect so much attention and care. Our every need was cheerfully filed and the young children especially enjoyed the attention and playfulness of the staff.

When our children chose Taninah for their wedding week, we thought okay(?)…it’ll be different for 21 of us to spend a week in the jungle…
When we arrived and walked through the front gate, our jaws collectively dropped. Nothing could have been better for our 6 children and their 6 children. Every one of us enjoyed Taninah and each other beyond our wildest dreams…
Your staff is simply fantastic. They never lost their smiles and neither did we. The two families, the bride’s and the groom’s, have been able to play, talk, bond, relax, and get to know each other so easily and so well…thanks in large part to the fullness and relaxed atmosphere at Taninah.

After watching your amazing website, we knew this jungle paradise was the perfect place for us to bring our group of 14 to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. I can’t imagine being in a hotel on the beach with our group from ages 5 to 72. This was perfect!

This was our third and best year here. The guys loved golf; the women saw incredible birds, including mot mots in the cenote; and the kids woke each morning so filled with anticipation we could barely contain them.
But the real joys of this place are I your staff. Susano was a delight with his fruit animals and friendliness. Poldo’s cooking was a daily pleasure; volleyball team Taninah was an excellent challenge; and as puzzle makers, they gave us help as well as moral support as we took on a 1500 piece puzzle (unsuccessfully).
Thank you so much for the hospitality and the imagination that went into Taninah and continues to enliven it.
