Personal Attention is Included
As proud creators and owners, Kathy and I respond to your initial inquiry, reply to all emails, speak to you by phone, and gladly answer all your questions.
In addition, we'll personally handle your reservation, help you with your vacation plans, and offer area recommendations.
Once in Mexico, Karl, our friendly and knowledgeable property manager will greet you at Taninah, introduce you to our on-site staff, give you a tour and orientation, and answer any remaining questions you might have.
Although Karl lives off-site (in nearby Paamul 15 minutes north of Taninah) he will be available to you 24/7 for support, assistance, and concierge services.
Our commitment to personal daily attention ensures you have a successful and unforgettable Taninah Experience.
Ground Transportation is Included
Although some rules and restrictions do apply, seven-night reservation rates include roundtrip transportation service between Cancun International Airport and Taninah.
Transportation is provided by STP Caribe, one of the Riviera Maya's most reputable ground transportation companies.
STP Caribe will meet you upon arrival and provide safe, insured, comfortable transportation in late model, air-conditioned vehicles driven by friendly, licensed, professional drivers.
The trip to Taninah will take approximately an hour and a half depending on traffic and weather.

Reservations consisting of less than seven-nights do not include round trip ground transportation service.

Family Style Meals are Included
We believe exceptional meals are integral to a great vacation experience.
It is our pleasure to include unique and delicious family style meals (including the cost of food) as essential and unforgettable elements of your Taninah experience.
Leopoldo, our “Mayan Chef”, will cheerfully prepare the meal selections you’ve chosen from our popular menu plans. Our menu plans contain Leopoldo’s most popular meals and we're certain you will agree.
Taninah’s family style meals are always prepared with the finest and freshest ingredients available and will undoubtedly satisfy your palate as well as your appetite.
In addition, meals are prepared on your schedule to suit your plans.
Our daily menus offer both well-known and more exotic Mexican dishes, fresh sea foods, and even genuine regional (Yucatecan) cuisine.
We can handle a variety of special dietary requests and Moms need not worry about finicky eaters as children age 12 and under are offered kid-friendly entrees in lieu of our established adult menus.

A Starter Beverage Package is Included
All reservations consisting of seven nights or more include our starter beverage package. Beverage package generally includes four cases of soda, four cases of purified drinking water, four cases of national beer, one bottle of white wine, one bottle of red wine, eight bags of purified ice, daily fresh-squeezed orange juice (when available), morning & evening coffee and/or Mexican hot chocolate.
Reservations consisting of less than seven-nights do not include our starter beverage package.
On-Site Staff is Included
Taninah is fully staffed for your support, convenience, and comfort.
Our friendly Mayan staff is available 24/7 during your stay. Their first responsibility is to assist you in any way they can.
Our staff members are also responsible for cleaning guest houses, making beds, washing dishes, general clean-up, and maintaining Taninah’s lounge areas, pool, Jacuzzi, grounds, and gardens in optimal condition.
Just as importantly, Leopoldo, your very own private Mayan cook, will be preparing outrageous fresh daily meals.
Off-Site Concierge Services are Included
As previously mentioned, Karl, our off-site property manager is also available 24/7 for daily support, assistance, and concierge services.
Daily Houskeeping Service is Included
Our friendly and attentive staff will conform to your schedule by cleaning guesthouses and making beds at your convenience.
Miniature Golf is Included
Included in our rate is unlimited daytime play
on Taninah's very own nine-hole miniature golf course... certain to provide hours of fun.

Televisions & DVD Players are Included
Taninah is equipped with three television sets each connected to a DVD player.
These are located in the children's padded play room, the library, and the fitness room.
Although we have an extensive list of DVD titles available at a nominal fee, guests are welcome to bring their own DVD titles as well.
External Speaker System is Included
For your convenience, we have installed an external speaker system for those who would like to bring and connect their iPods, iPhones, MP3 players, CD players or laptops.
This system makes it easy for guests to listen to their music collection from any of the above named sources. The system is installed in the outdoor kitchen area where Taninah guests tend to spend most of their time.
A Jungle Cinema Movie Experience Viewing is Included
The Multipurpose Room doubles as our "Jungle Cinema" and is equipped with a high-quality digital projector, DVD player, ten-foot drop down movie screen, and a surround-sound speaker system.
Seven-night reservations include viewing one DVD movie title in Taninah's Jungle Cinema Experience.
Upon request, our staff will arrange the furniture, bring out the bean bags, prepare the popcorn, and start your movie selection for a truly one-of-a-kind movie watching experience.
Lending Library is Included
Taninah has a growing paperback book lending library. Please note that paperback donations are encouraged and appreciated.
If you have some extra room in your luggage, please consider bringing some paper back book donations. This is a great way to recycle your old paper backs.
In-Room Safes are Included
Each guest house is furnished with an in-room safe for storing valuables.
First Aid Kits are Included
In addition to our primary first aid kit located in the pool area, each of our guest houses is equipped with first aid kits.
Emergency Assitance is Included
Should a State-side emergency arise, Kathy and I can be contacted directly in the United States. We’ll channel emergency communications to you ASAP.
In case of an emergency in Mexico, Karl, Taninah’s property manager as well as our on-site staff have cellular phones and Nextel radios.
Because Karl (or Kathy and I) can be reached 24/7 during your stay, we will always be able to assist you in an efficient and appropriate manner.
We also highly recommend guests bring their own cellular phones and pre-arrange with their carriers/service providers in order to activate service while in Mexico.
For Babies and Toddlers (and parents too!)
For the convenience of guests traveling with babies and/or toddlers, we offer two cribs, two high chairs, one stroller, one exersaucer, and various other baby items and toys; however, parents will most appreciate Taninah's padded playroom.
As the name suggests, the floors and walls of this generous space are padded and the room is filled with Gymboree equipment. The padded playroom is also furnished with a playhouse, a television set, and a DVD player making it a perfect place from which children can watch movies.
The padded playroom is located under our pool-side palapa so it will be easy to keep an eye on the little ones while you lounge by the pool, enjoy a refreshing margarita in apool-side hammock, or enjoy fresh guacamole, slasa, and chips at one of our dining tables.
